    Hi.

    Totally agree.

Nowadays, we are in an interconnected world, so, HCL Domino can't get outside of the players.

Third party services, like most Web Services, work with IMAP when they need to integrate with a mail platform, as they expect to have Real-time response.

In order to provide Real-time capability of getting email information, IDLE feature need to be available from IMAP protocol.

For instance, the following CRM uses IDLE feature with this context, so, it would be very helpful if Domino would provide IDLE feature, as the CRM integrate with third party emails to send / receive emails.

IMAP is a standard way to integrate Domino (it's mail part) with other systems. The support of the IMAP IDLE command is important for some of those systems.
