Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Are you trying to set the browser for Notes Basic clients to be something other than IE or Netscape?
In the Desktop settings document, go to the Custom Settings tab, Locations tab. Edit List button.
Set item --> WebRetriever, value --> "99"
Set item --> WebRetrieverPath, value --> "C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe" (or whatever)
Give it a few client restarts to take effect.
Some of these web browser plug-ins will be de-supported by their respective vendors soon, such as Adobe Flash to be de-supported by December 2020, and Oracle will cease its free support of Java plug-in for "business to consumer" (B2C) type applications by December 2020.
For existing websites / web applications (both public-facing and for internal use) adopting browser plug-ins, we are strongly advised to phase out the plug-ins before their respective end-of-support, by migrating such websites / web applications to open web standards. This will enable the compatibility of the websites / web applications with various web browsers commonly used in the market such as Chrome.
We are strongly advised to install other commonly used web browsers (such as Chrome) on all end-point devices (including desktop PC, notebook) on or before 31 December 2019 and to change the default browser from IE 11 to one of the commonly used web browsers as soon as practicable.
We need to change the default browser from IE11 to Chrome in IBM Notes Basic Client R9.0.1 FP10 on all desktop PCs and notebooks (around 600 - 650). In existing Domino Desktop policy, I can set the Internet browser to "Other" but cannot set the browser program path to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe".
