Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

I agree, please make ist also possible, to paste a password in the Internetpassword field of the person document.
Password managers are used by most people and organisations now days and are actively encouraged to allow enhanced security by using longer/more complex and unique passwords. Not being able to paste a password into the Notes ID password prompt has been a pain & inconvenience for many years, but even more so now with the prevalence of password managers. I can't think of any other application I use that doesn't allow me to paste a password into the password dialog. We can paste the password into the web login prompt when accessing a Domino server via browser, so it's difficult to see any reduction in security by changing this functionality, which really should have been changed years ago for the benefit of both Notes users and administrators.
And this will be useful using some tool as Bitwarden or 1password, I like it!
Thanks for explaining
I agree, other applications can have access to clipboard, but workstation have be protected with antimalware solution.
Past opereation is very useful, when you using password managers (for instance, KeePass) to secure save and generate long passwords. (For instance, passwords like P0gf@<fQaJT,jh\,b+oAL6/ quite difficult to enter manually). Password managers putting password to clipboard for a limited time.
For instance, new user registration dialog allowes to Paste password.
Anyway decision about copy/paste passwords or not should be in client’s hands.
Maybe not a good idea as the clipboard can be accessed by other applications.
