Moving idea to product : Domino Designer
LotusScript will directly support HTTP PUT/POST/GET/DELETE/etc METHODS. Which means Connections APIs can be called directly inside LotusScript. Authentication could be one aspect need to be considered, how to allow me to push a button inside Domino to post an article to my Connections blog? The API will need to get an an auth token (ltpaToken or something else) to perform the task.
For Web Applications like Verse & Connections Files, they share ltpaToken through browser session cookie. However, when calling Connections API inside LotusScript, nothing get shared.
With the new LotusScript objects in Domino10 it will be possible to call Connections API's
