Should be a preference, like you can choose for Delete behavior
The option to modify the existing view and / or to create additional views is already available today.
An additional view may the solution : https://domino.ideas.aha.io/ideas/IDEAMLCT-I-18
I prefer the current behaviour too.
Wish there was a possibility to downvote.
That's the main purpose and actually an advantage of the Sent view, i.e. it shows me all messages, that have been sent regardless of what folders they might have been added to.
If you don't like that behaviour, you can easily change the selection formula for the Sent view.
