the workspace will improve further in Notes 12.0.2 - and you will get the twisty back in the top right corner of the db icon. You can try this out in a few weeks within the early access program
In my opinion, it was better when the twity was in one of the upper corners. Now it is in the middle of the icon (considering, the database title also belongs to the icon). Also: Why isn't the twisty clickable any more when the icon isn't focussed?
