When a new replica is created on Notes client local after changing the setting of [Customize This View...], the setting reverted to default on BOTH Notes client local and Domino server.
(Steps)
1. Open Inbox folder in own mail database on Domino server
2. Open [View] - [Customize This View...] from menu bar
3. Change any setting you want
ex.) Uncheck "Type Icons"
4. Click "OK" to save it.
5. Close and Open again Inbox folder, and confirm to keep the changing in Step 3.
6. Create new replica of the mail database on Notes client
(Result)
Open the replicated mail database on Notes client
-> [Customize This View...] setting has been back to default.
ex.) Checked again "Type Icons"
And also, open Inbox folder in own mail database on Domino server again.
-> [Customize This View...] setting has been restored to default, too.
ex.) Checked again "Type Icons"

I have confirmed that the settings of "Customize This View" did not revert to defaults when first I opened the inbox folder on Domino server after creating replica of mail database (after the step 6),
However, this approach is not user-friendly.
For some reason, when a user creates a new replica, the user usually opens it first to see if it has been replicated correctly.
It is a bit of a stretch to say that they should not open it.
Although the current behavior is said to be correct, we hope that in the future, even if a user opens a new replica first, "Customize This View" will not revert to the default.
