Description: Currently, when exporting an email to a PDF file or printing it as a PDF using tools like MS Print to PDF or PDFCreator, the resulting PDF does not retain any of the URL links that were initially present in the email. This means that when recipients attempt to click on these hyperlinks within the PDF file, they do not lead to the expected web pages. As a result, the hyperlinks become non-functional, impeding the ability to access linked web content directly from the PDF document.
Example:
URL https://mail.yahoo.com in PDF is opening properly from PDF whereas hyperlinks with text unable to open.
This has been tested with latest notes client 14.0.FP1 as well as the previous version of Notes client and the behavior is the same.
Request: We suggest enhancing the PDF export/print functionality to preserve hyperlinks from the original email. By retaining these hyperlinks in the PDF output, recipients will be able to click on them and navigate to the associated web pages seamlessly, maintaining the functionality and integrity of the email content even after it has been converted to PDF format. This enhancement would greatly improve the usability and effectiveness of exporting emails to PDF within the email client.
