Synchronize Azure AD Account password to Notes ID password.

One of our customer uses Notes/Domino 11.0.1 FP7.

End User login to OS with Azure AD account and then start Notes client. This customer tried to synchronize Azure AD account password with Notes ID password according to the steps described in the following document, but unfortunately failed.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Synchronizing your Windows password with your Notes password

https://help.hcl-software.com/notes/11.0.0/sec_pass_syncwind_t.html

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The above feature can only be used to synchronize Windows OS account password or on_prem Active Directory account password with Notes ID password, and Azure AD account password is not supported for the above feature.

Please consider to Implement new feature in future release to synchronize Azure AD Account password to Notes ID password.

Syncronozing passwords is not considered a best practice because a clear text password needs to be extracted from one system and then applied to another. You can already now eliminate the need for a NotesID password by using SharedLogon.

So there is no need to implementing password sync. Closing this idea as „wont do“
