Notes print dialog

Currently, HCL Notes uses different print dialog boxes for:

• MIME messages (external emails)

• Notes messages (internal documents)

This has been the standard behavior in the Notes/Domino product for a long time. As a result, the user experience is inconsistent when printing different types of messages.

There is an option — “Disable embedded browser for MIME mail” — that forces MIME content to use the Notes renderer. While this does provide a consistent print dialog, it also causes MIME messages not to render correctly, which is not an acceptable workaround.

To improve usability, we request an enhancement for a single, unified print dialog that applies to both MIME (external) and Notes (internal) messages, without negatively impacting MIME rendering.

This would:

1. Ensure consistent behavior for end users

2. Reduce confusion and training effort

3. Improve the overall printing workflow in Notes
