Setting this Idea to Under Consideration with a focus on "get an easy way to configure the bizcard settings in Sametime".
This is something we are focusing on. Our immediate roadmap is providing a new administration UI for Sametime. With the removal of WAS dependency, we lost the Sametime System Console and need to provide an administration client back. Our first priority is policy and monitoring features, but business card management is on the list to add.
Concerning the Domino person document picture/thumbnail, we have steps in our product doc to use that for the Connect and Embedded clients via the Photo field.
Storing photos in the Domino directory
The Web Chat, Meetings and Mobile clients however require PhotoURL. HCL Verse provides a feature to upload photos, which sets this thumbnail in the person document and builds a url to access it, populating the PhotoURL field. If this is performed by a Verse User and Sametime is configured to us Photo, ImagePath and PhotoURL (by default it does), all Sametime clients will use it.
Sametime needs this same feature from an administration client and user client to provide an easy way to upload photos, setting both Photo and PhotoURL fields at the same time.
