This is an interesting request, as the privacy setting is meant to prevent "online" status from displaying to the remote user... but not designed to block the remote user. We are working on adding privacy settings to the contact list from web and mobile and this will be taken into consideration along with improvements to the Connect and Notes Embedded privacy setting. Thank you for this feedback!
