Mandatory Feature Parity for Sametime Emoticons

Die aktuelle Inkonsistenz bei den Emoticons zwischen Sametime Embedded und Web Client führt zu Frust bei den Anwendern.

  • Das Problem: Benutzerdefinierte Icons und Animationen (GIFs) funktionieren nur im Notes-Client, nicht im Web.

The current inconsistency regarding emoticons between the HCL Sametime Embedded Client (Notes) and the Web Client is a significant pain point for our users.

  • The Problem: Custom emoticons and animated GIFs added in the Notes full client are not synchronized or supported in the Web Client.

  • The Impact: Modern messaging platforms are primarily evaluated by their "emotional usability" and ease of expression. When these features are missing in the web interface, the tool feels incomplete and outdated compared to competitors.

Requirement: Full synchronization and GIF support across all Sametime clients to ensure a modern, seamless, and consistent communication experience for all users.
