Option "Right to Disconnect" based on new EU legislation.

Option for "Right to Disconnect" based on new EU legislation.

Option / right to digitally disconnect from work so that users will no longer will be notified during their off business hours.

    Hi Thomas ,
    This was requested by a customer in Ireland and is mainly for employees that do not wish to be notified of new work related emails on their mobile device out of normal office hours i.e. 6pm to 8am Mon to Fri and weekends. Currently, there is no way (according to HCL) to have a set of users that wish to get emails 24/7 and those that do not.

    Users already have the right to disconnect, however if your company is requesting you to respond to an email while you are on vacation is a different story. The discussion referenced in the link above is about setting a basline of expectation and not about implementing technical restrictions nor about to deactivate your account while a user is out of office.

    Thus, changing the status of this idea to "unlikely to implement".
