HCL Domino Ideas Portal

Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Perform address resolution at the mobile client

If we enter an invalid email address after the valid email address, then we can still send the mail.
Steps to reproduce:
- In the To field: test@domain.com, test1
- Then send, the mail will be sent, and the Domino backend recognizes test1 as a user with that last name, and the first hit with that last name will get the mail.
With HCL Notes, you get a message if an invalid email address is entered (without @domain), but this does not happen with the Verse app.

In depth:
Both Verse mobile clients and native Apple mail behaves differently than iNotes, Verse or the Notes Client. In iNotes, Verse or the Notes Client, the recipient addresses get verified on the client side, before they get sent to the server.
This is not happening in Verse on Android, as it sends an ambiguous/wrong address to the server. In all the other clients, the client is prompting the user with suggestions from the address book(s) before sending it to the server.
