"direct to Internet" no longer works when sending email from Verse apps

At some point the Verse app quit working to send email direct to Internet using a relay host the same as the Notes client can do.  For instance, using the Accounts documents in the Notes client it can send directly to a different SMTP relay host.  Restore this functionality to Verse.

    By design the Notes client is not a standalone mail client, so why do you still allow Notes to do this? The suggestion isn't to eliminate the need for a mail file on a server. The point is that the Notes client allows for using Notes to manage personal mail, like Yahoo or Gmail or hotmail and the Verse client worked fine doing this as well. But then it was broken, making it impossible to use Verse as a companion to Notes. This is in fact a bug, not a feature request.

    By design Verse is the client for a Domino server, it is not a standalone mail client, so this idea is unlikely to be implemented soon.
