We have considered this and have decided that it is not going to be possible to contain this in a future release. If this changes then we will revisit this idea in the future.

The PWA works the same as Verse in browser. If you open Verse calendar in browser today, a new tab will be created. We understand that user may expect a difference user experience in PWA, therefore, we'll take this idea into further consideration
