Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Keep the option though, I think the gradient looks great.
It's quite easy using a flat GIF image as stretched background.
Anyways I'd prefer too that the gradient wouldn't be there as all.
I'm developing an application to be used with Nomad Mobile and Notes.
In Nomad, I want to display as many folders as possible in one line. I had a set of frames split into upper and lower frames and was going to display the page with the title in the upper frame and the folder in the lower frame, but then I came up with the idea of setting the image with the title to the action bar of the folder. If I can hide the column titles and still display the titles in the action bar, I can display two more rows of folders.
The size of the image with the title is small, but I want to display it in the center of the screen width, so the setting is to display it once in the center of the action bar. The color of the image is set to be the same as the color of the action bar, but the margins on the left and right of the image will be gradients.
The actions in the action bar are set to show only icons, no text, and the background color is set to none, but the background of the action does not become a gradient.
Then in Nomad Mobile, the action bar is not a gradient.
By turning off the gradient in the action bar, there will be no border between the image and its left and right margins. The same goes for the border with the action button.
The customer application have a logo image in the center of the action bar background.
When the background is a gradient, it does not match the background of the logo.
We would like to disable the gradient at the design level.
Can you provide more details (e.g. a screenshot?) and explain what the benefit would be to implement your idea?
