Allow to set server internet address

Many agents are signed using server ID, and sometimes they send e-mails outside domino domains. If so From address is including % and domains and some mail servers do not deliver such messages...

Would creating a bunch of entries in the address book for signing purposes increase the numer of needed licenses?

You can also set an item "inetfrom" and Domino will use this.

    Thanks for recommendation.

I think that for example external java (or other api) code running on server is always running as a server ID.

(and I hope we do not need a license for that person document for server ;-)

Just create a person document for your server to define the outbound mail address. However, my recommendation is:

    • Do not sign agents with the server ID, instead use a specific agent signer ID.

    • At best, run each agent with its own (virtual) agent signer name (=run on behalf of YourAgentName/OU/O) so that you can see which agent modified which document. Create a person document for that name.
