I dont get the idea of using Directory Assistence for photos. That template is only used to configure additional directories. Can you please create a new idea and describe your idea in more details ?
An extra step would be that Verse on Premise lookup in the Directory assistance.
So we can add picture/logo of customers. Template used for directory Asistance is the same as pername.ntf
Must not be that difficult

Should it be commented that the Upload a photo feature in Verse be linked to the Person document when the domino directory is being used for the photo?
Since Verse and Sametime 11 running on Domino Server in standalone without the need of a WAS server, Verse and Sametime should share contact informations including photos using a store (nsf or file repository) on the domino server.
Photo and business card functionality would be great without being forced into a Connections buildout.
this is a good point. we have some small clients, where we want to install verse onpremises.
When the customer asks us for the photo, we explain that it is necessary to install:
just to have a photo?
It would be nice if at least that was resolved in an out-of-the-box alternative way, without needing to modify the design of the names.nsf and make a change in the source code.

The photo field has actually existed "forever". We discovered it when ST LInks came out. We added photos so we could include them in our chats then. We still use this photo field, but we had to modify user customizable PersonExstensible subform to add this missing GUI to do it. This would be good and pretty simple to add out-of-the-box.

Yes, this would be a big help when you have to meet someone, but you don't know how it looks like!

Having a business card functionality including the photo would be great!
