FTIndex file size does not reduce so much after deleting docs and performing updall

FTIndex file size does not reduce so much after deleting docs and performing updall and it is increased when they are repeatedly performed. and sometimes it gets bloated.

To resolve it, rebuilding(re-create) with "updall -x" is quite a difficult task, considering the time it takes to recreate the index.

Request that revisiting FTindex logic and the index size would be reduced by updall without "-x" and/or reuse efficient use of free space more in FTindex file.

Can you provide some more information on the amount of disk space before/after rebuilding the index? How much storage are you gaining by this excercise? We assume this is just a relatively small amount of disk space (if at all).
