Keep java.policy content following Domino updates

The java.policy is replaced during the upgrade to domino server - either release or fix pack. Therefore any changes to the file are lost requires updating post upgrade. Can the upgrade process be changed to preserve the contents of the file post upgrade

I can't remember when it was added, but since at least Domino 11.0 we do make a backup of this file called java.policy_001. Looking at the W64 fixpack code, we also save off the file. The idea was to let the JVM have its latest java.policy, but keep the old one as a backup to make it easier to get back to where you were before installing. Same for java.security and cacerts.

There is an idea regarding java.pol

Using java.pol is now available in Domino 12.0.1 again

Yes, this would be helpful. There used to be a workaround using java.pol, but that has become unavailable a couple of releases ago.
