Add CSS (or something similar) to be used in Domino/Notes native design elements

Redesign an existing app is a big challenge. Today you have basically only the choice to change to a web application, because if you have a lot of views, forms and pages and have to update each design element separately - no customer will pay for it. One Option is to use xPages (for Notes Client and/or browsers), but it takes also a lot of time to implement in existing business applications.

Additional benefit: users are more comfortable if they can choose something, e.g. between different color schemas.

It would be very helpful if existing Notes native design elements as forms, views, folders, ... can be fully designable by CSS (or something similar), including e.g. text field properties or date time.

I don't think all CSS items need to be implemented........ I agree, just update the design elements from 1990 to 2020

I don't think all CSS items need to be implemented. However design elements which match current simple CSS instructions would be of massive benefit.

Indeed! I've tried to implement default layout with the existing CSS support. It simply did not work. Far too many CSS features are not supported by the client

New table property for rounded corners

This feature would help modernize the presentation of Notes apps to a more user-friendly appearance. Just a checkbox in the table properties. When selected, it would open a field to specify the rounding radius in pixels. When enabled, just the 4 ...

Allow views design to be set via CSS like forms.

Merged
Would allow for easier and more consistent UI look and feel throughout an APP. This would allow the design on CSS files to change the look of a view/folder in seconds rather than now where you have to select each element to change it.

Make CSS work in notes form in notes client

It would improve notes developement speed and quality. This point is ok for Xpages but not for notes form in notes client. A tool to debug html/css in notes client would also be useful
