I'm waiting this solution, since 2008 (my first PMR), to fix this problems about Resources reservation. Our reservations can end 30 hours later (and not 48 - 72 or 96 hours), and we must create 2 reservations, for ex. 1 transfer, from Monday 8:00 to Tuesday 14:00.
This fix is most important for all users and all companies
We are asking IBM to do it for more than 10 years!
Please, please do it!
Definitely Yes
Definitely Yes
it should be possible to define different begin and end time on every day of the meeting
Yes this is pretty high in our list
IMO the most frequent pain point is not related to meetings but to events. For example, a conference starts on Monday noon and ends on Wednesday noon. Today, you have to create either three calendar entries or give up on hours and create on repeating all day event
Agree that this is TOP5 user complain which must be addressed by In the next version. Don’t mind any compatibility issues.
This is under consideration , the issue is backward compatibility with older clients and we are working through it
agreed! Thats a very valid reason, too! :-)
As you mentioned, a meeting longer than 24h is usually out of sense.
BUT it makes sense about resources like cars or any others resources you could book. We used to book a car for 2 days and half (taking it at 8AM and restituing it at 12AM), so how to make a repeat schedule ?
From my perspective, if anyone work in a company where meetings 24 h or longer, leave your employer! :-)
In other cases there is a item called "all day event"
The bad habbit, creating meetings from monday morning to friday evening is mostly based on laziness and comes from outlook socialized users, where repeated meetings cause a bit more effort than in notes.
Anyhow, I vote for it, too. I recall some some technical issues like imported ical meetings/appointments. The mentioned sync issue is also a valid topic.
Many Many and Many users need this feature...
