Custom Text Blocks

Hi,

I have searched the ideas but could not find any idea that would match mine.

What I am missing in the Lotus Notes Client are custom Text Blocks. Let me explain with an example:

I have a sentence that I use all the time or a greeting and I dont want to write it over and over.

So in German I would type

MfG and it should automatically change into -> Mit freundlichen Grüßen

LG -> Liebe Grüße

This could be used for more complex sentences also....

This could be integrated into the users personal Dictionary?

Or is this already implented and I overseen it?

I do this right now by having my own Actions in the Toolbar that paste the required text into the body where my cursor is currently.

Thanks

    Usually, this is called "snippets".

    I do like this idea in general, but we might want to work on the fine tuning because otherwise statements like "I bought a new TV from LG" would be expanded to "...from Liebe Grüße"

    I like this. have done loadable RichTextContent blocks for some applikation - but it feels helpflul to have something systemwide (any Application) for every user.  As there are users with multiple machines, the mail database might be the place to locate the stuff.

    Not sure if its possible but maybe have a "live text" widget to replace abbreviations in a Memo form?
