Great. I too use the del key for deleting entries, but most users use the mouse and are glad this is visible again! Thanks for listening to input!

I wanted to share our experience with this as we are in the middle of upgrading our clients to 11. Removing the Trash from the toolbar is by far the most reported 'problem' from the users. My unscientific guess (from tech requests, emails to me and getting stopped with questions) is that probably over half of those upgraded so far (200 or so out of 900) do not like the trash button being removed. This reason almost got the entire upgrade scrapped by our CEO but thankfully we have been allowed to continue.
Our CIO (my manager) explained it this way: pre-R11, when working your Inbox with the newest mail on top, if you wanted to delete the message, you just had to slightly move your cursor up to the delete button. Now, you have to move it way to the right, which takes longer. As someone below stated, wide screen monitors can mean you have to move it quite a bit.
Personally, I work my newest mail at the bottom and use my keyboard to delete so this never occurred to me it might be an issue. It wasn't even going to be something I pointed out until my upgrade testers started noting it.
For now, our fix is to change their theme to the R9 version. I just hate that they aren't getting the full experience with the upgrade.
Maybe this will give you some insight on why it's not as accepted as hoped.
This is a self- inflicted UI inconstistency.
The trash icon action bar is always present in an open email and even appears if you select multiple emails.
Users who have seen th e11 teplate dont like it and it has slowed our implementation of the template.
Please give us an option to restore the old style action bar
It is not appreciated by our Users. The new look is quite OK, but this feature should be brought back. Also as a sidenote, some more contrast for unread Mails would help those who have a visual depth problem.
Amen. We use 24" monitors and the trash can is far on the right hand side of the email subject line. I often lose the trash can as I try to move the mouse pointer from the left to the right hand side of the line.
or at the very least have a Notes.ini option to revert to the old style action bar
