Merged idea
This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit DOMINO-I-476 Add support for Exchange Web Services (EWS) to enable Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail clients to use a Domino server..

Use any mail client like outlook or apple mail Merged

Is more important to give the possiblity to the user to use the mail client tehy want. We know that they know, they use (at home ofr example) outlook and they want use it like client. We, IT manager, want a power server like HCL Domino. So we use it and give the game (outlook) to the users. All are happy and satisfied. The connection between all clinet and server must be natively, not like a connector.

This is the goal. A lot of IT Manager can't move to HCL Domino because client.

I confirm, it is the truth.

The Notes and Verse client not being completed is a big deal in adopting or returning to Domino today.

HTMO is an add-on with many limitations (access and delegation) and cannot be a replacement...

If you can in a timely manner complete EWS support you will allow Apple Mail, MS Outlook and even 3rd party SW to connect to Domino.

    This is open-client strategy....

The other huge advantage: those who return to HCL Domino, ferry their Outlook clients without suffering and when HCL Notes or HCL Verse products are at the same level it will be possible to move users to these alternative clients...
