Is there a timeline for integration (push/pull) with Salesforce
Great to see how big the interest is in our product, therefore we set up a series of webcasts to explain how simple and easy a integration can be done direct via the Notes Client into the various world of video-conference, like Zoom, Webex, MS Teams and GoToMeeting without programming or changes on the mailtemplate. We start on 08.10.2020 at 10:00 AM (Berlin time) with our first Webcast on: https://notes2conf.de/webinare/ looking foward seeing you there
creating a Notes Meeting from the Client now it`s possible to have also GoToMeeting connected, here is the link who is interested in this solution which I just tested, it seems to be a smart gateway, developed by a 3rd party from Berlin: https://notes2conf.de/testen/
There is a smart gateway for creating meetings from the Notes client directly into several videoconferencing systems, i.e. Zoom, GoToMeeting or MS Teams, called Notes2conf, I just found this out. No Mailtemplate change and no other development is needed, just a entry on my Domino Server and I can schedule directly meetings from myNotes client into Zoom, GoToMeeting or MS Teams. The site is actually only in german available, but maybe it helps: https://notes2conf.de/
Like how? Reverse engineering the plugin capabilities of our vendor? Trying to cheat or hack installation process of the plugin because it is intended to work with Outlook only. Or extract contents of the 3rd party plugin it to embed them 'somehow' into our product? No that will not work, and I guess this would be illegal to.
An other example: a customer complains of the absence of plugin for Autodesk Vault. For MS Outlook there's a plugin. The impression of this customer is that for MS Outlook there are more often plugins than for IBM Notes.
For example the scheduling of an meeting with GoToMeeting (https://www.gotomeeting.com/meeting/resources/gotomeeting-outlook-calendar-plugin) or the integration of Salesforce (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000113374&type=3&sfdcIFrameOrigin=null)
Look to MS Outlook how the handle it and adopt it.
How in specific do you think this should work?
What is being offered today is API's, extension points, Widgets, etc.
so what is missing?
