File Import : Provide CSV/Text file import dialog in order to map to Notes field.

Currently we have to make view for CSV import or make col file for text import in order to import and map to Notes fields.

Please provide CSV/Text file import dialog in order to map to Notes field.

the col file is too old style.

I could not agree more with the June 9 comment. It is ridiculous to strip out a feature that users have depended on for over 20 years without providing a replacement. When I learned this feature was going away, I thought that CSV files were being added. What a disappointment to learn that I was wrong!

I have also found out that notes.ini parameter IncludeOldFileTypes=1 no longer works in version 11.0.1. So, we no longer have a means of importing Lotus 123 files.

I have also been unable to import tab delimited files successfully. The fields do not seem to parse correctly.

This is 2020. There should be some way to easily import data into a Domino database. There used to be, with 123. This is a step backwards on HCL's part in my opinion.

This, along with the lack of an ODBC driver in version11, serve to put our Domino databases on an island with no way in or out when it comes to transfering large amounts of data between Domino and the other software we use.
