I think this is an essential funtion. In large organisations, having the Administrator intervene to reset a User's forgotten password is not a viable option.
Like the other writer, our company developed the ability for a User to reset their password, using a Browser. We are now running on Nomad, and I believe that HCL should make this function available as a standard offering, in the same way that a User can "Change Password" in Nomad.
Are you aware that such tools does exist provided by 3rd party vendor / business partner ? I don't know how much is the price for such tools but my company have develop a password reset application with SMS confirmation code for one of our client. I am not saying this is as sales pitch, just to let you know about what is possible right now.
