Hello, this is not the case for all settings, we found out if the " im.2012 = Sametime update site URL (IC)" is changed, the settings will not take effect after an hour.
It is also not practicable. For example, when testing policies out for a test user group during the production hours, you have to wait an hour before the changes apply, and you are not sure when exactly this is. So if you have to do three changes, you need three hours (at best, but this will take in practice at least four) to get your policy changes right.
From the point of view of my customers, there should be a Sametime Server command for rolling out new policy settings immediately and without any service interruption.
We do this already. There is a time period of an hour. After an hour, it automatically udpates the policy settings withour restarting the server.
