3 years ago I added this thread? Will there be a solution?
Like Theo I used the 123-importer very often, and I think more than 115 votes show that a lot of people are missing this feature.
Agreed with Theo!
Import/Export from/to Excel means ability to export a set of documents from a view to Excel speadsheet file of specified format. and then to import it into another DB with fields set as headers and each Excel row to convert into separate docs in goal DB
Ivan Kuzmenkov, Ambassador 2021 class
This only imports Excel data into a Rich Text.
It does not import from a view, where records from Excel are transformed into Notes documents. The ‘old’ 123 importer did this, and I used it a lot.
Please add this capability too, as I’m sure this is what the requestor wanted.
And change the status, if set to ‘implemented’
Theo
Import from XLS is available in Notes 12.0
If this is implemented then please consider this idea as wel https://domino-ideas.hcltechsw.com/ideas/NTS-I-209
I have installed Notes V10 Client, but the import / export options are the same as in 9, no xls files. Where is the option?
.xls support is available in V10 Beta
.xlsx and .odf should be considered as well.
Thanks for your proposal!
I have a lot of import utilities, too.
I have written them in JavaScript, and Java, and from command line via Ruby and OLE.
All is working, but nothing on earth could replace a fast and interactive import with the Notes Client.
It would be nice to have a configurable import-from-Excel function. In the meantime you can use this approach: http://www.botstation.com/code/excel_people_to_notes.php
