    a Notes client cannot replicate with another Notes client. It always has to replicate with a server. That said, both clients can have its own NAMES.NSF. From the first client, you can create a NAMES_SHARE.NSF, replicate that up to a server. From the second client, create a replica of NAMES_SHARE.NSF. Then both clients can use "Cascading Name and Address Book" setting to share the content of NAMES_SHARE.NSF.

    I can't find the place the set "Cascading" Address Book in my v12.0.2 client, but I know you can modify your NOTES.INI and add a line that reads:

    NAMES=NAMES.NSF,NAME_SHARE.NSF

    That's it.

    Assuming that you have two Domains, you can use the Directory Catalog task to consolidate two (or more) directories into one (new) directory that will contain all person documents + groups. This new directory you can then use on servers and clients as an additional directory configured in DirectoryAssistance DB and/or replicated to Notes clients as a mobile directory catalog. https://help.hcltechsw.com/domino/12.0.2/admin/conf_creatingadirectoryassistancedocumentforadominodir_t.html and https://help.hcltechsw.com/domino/12.0.2/admin/conf_directorycatalogs_c.html

    In case you are talking of the local names.nsf of two Notes Client installations, I think this is possible for years (install 1st client, create a replica of the local names.nsf on some server, replicate this names.nsf of the server onto the second PC with the notes into e.g. namesx.nsf shut doen the second PC, rename names.nsf to e.g. names_org.nsf and namesx.nsf to names.nsf.

    While running well for many years, I don't see this ever being supported.

    (Potential Problems, e.g. when using different Versions of the Client software, the potential need for a somewhat different content in location documents and connection documents even if the user and the mailserver is the same and of course the need for replication on both clients) - and of course the ACl Settings of the replic on the server might need adjustments. You also might to have to merge data from from names_org.nsf with names.nsf
