Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

This has been shipped in the Domino V11 directory template (pubnames.ntf)
Due to a security regression we have from our IT-Security department from the ISO certification we need to ensure that the password digest is not visible anymore for regular users as it is for the internet password.
This regression has been raised by our internal audit. Compared to other directories from other vendors there it is already implemented and users can't view the hash / digest of passwords for other users.
It is a digest field - not the actual password itself. It is a (salted) hash. Make sure your Domino directory is configured to use the latest hash algoritm (actions/edit directory profile) + make sure that hashes for existing person documents are upgraded
Why should it be encrypted? And who should be able to decrypt it?
