Welcome to the #dominoforever Product Ideas Forum! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

has a PMR been created for this problem? If yes, do you know the PMR number?
I'm probably not explaining the problem clearly enough--although I'd also vote for one that let you recall a stationery-based email, too! ;)
Basically, if you email a group (using an email you created from scratch--not a stationery or calendar entry) and it pops up with a name conflict or an error within a mail group, and realize you made a mistake and click CANCEL... the email stops sending to additional people and is NOT in your sent email. Because it's not in your sent email, you can't recall it. If someone realizes they made a mistake and they just let it finish, they CAN recall it... but that is neither intuitive or what people would likely do when they make a mistake. It's also not ideal that way, because if it goes to external folks as part of the group--those couldn't be recalled.
It seems like the most practical way to solve it would be to just NOT send any of the emails until it's validated all of the addresses in every group it is sending to. Otherwise, giving an option when it pops up with the invalid name dialog box to just recall the message from there would be a decent alternative.
IBM/HCL Notes developers--I'd be happy to walk you through the steps, if it is unclear. We have been burnt by this multiple times.
It would be possible to recall the email unless, for example, stationery was used to send the mail.
