I'm glad to see this is finally coming in V12. I first requested this at Ask the Developers session at Lotusphere in 2010 and a few more times after that.
Suppose a customer has the following email address, all catched by a single mail-in DB:
sales@company1.com
sales@company2.com
aftersales@company1.com
support4sales@company2.com
These addresses are in a single DB because in his the office any of 10 employed that follows sales may treat and reply each ones.
Customer wants an easy way to reply to each message in the mail in DB indicating the correct address. A modification in Lotusscript way allow to put a Principal filed precompiled with the addresses, but this not allow iNotes or Traveler with same behavior.
If you would like replies to go to a specific person, that is controllable when using the Notes client. Click on Delivery Options before sending the message, click on the Advanced tab and then select the name that replies should go to.
